UTS Coach and Cancer Survivor, Dave Bolton, To Speak At Hospital Cancer Event

The UTS Foundation continues to expand and develop its work with cancer professionals and patients across the Wirral and will be attending the next Cancer Health and Well Being Event, on Thursday October 19th.

Our very own Dave Bolton is one of the keynote speakers and will be sharing his amazing and inspirational story. The free event, which will take place at the Education Centre, 2nd floor at Arrowe Park Hospital from 12.30pm will feature important information about cancer, talks from leading medical professionals and personal case studies, like Dave, of people who have overcome the illness.

Talks will begin around 1.20pm with Dave speaking around 2.30pm followed by 2 extra optional short talks. There will be time for people to browse the event stalls which will have information about services that can help patients and families affected by the illness. There will be tea, coffee and refreshments available with the event ending at 4PM.

A previous event, held in April at Clatterbridge Hospital, attracted the largest number of people affected by cancer in Wirral and, according to Anne Torkington - Macmillan Information Manager, “those who attended really valued the local information and support available and showed that their knowledge about what was available for them increased overall more than any other topic in the afternoon”.

The UTS Foundation will have a stall at the event to offer advice and information about how we can help cancer patients and their families through the sessions and services that we offer.

We hope to see you there!
