Congratulations to The UTS Foundation Ambassador, John Hammond who last night completed his 12 marathons in 12 days since the start of October.
This is no mean feat, but John, being John, is going to run 31 marathons in 31 days in aid of Scope and we would encourage you to help him in any way you can.
Maybe give him a toot, a cheer, jog a few miles with him, or support his Just Giving Page? - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hammo76
You can also nominate John for the prestigious 'Wirral Award' which rewards those going the 'extra mile' for others. I think we can all agree that John has done that this year!
Winners are treated to a civic reception at Wallasey Town Hall, and join a small but distinguished band of people who have been recognised with this civic honour.
You can nominate John here -

John's recent and amazing fundraising exploits include 10 marathons in 10 days for cancer charity CHIC and 7 treadmill marathons in 7 days for Claire House. He has organised through-the-night runs for the Bennet family who lost both parents to cancer within days of each other and nine-year-old Lucy Moroney who has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour, for whom he also completed a 50 mile Liverpool to Blackpool ‘Tower to Tower’ run. Phew!
As a result, he has been nominated as a regional finalist in this year's Pride of Britain Awards for the Fundraiser of the Year category.
A massive well done to John and everyone who has come out to support him this year!
I think we can all agree that he is an absolute legend! Keep going John! \O/
