Foundation secures funding from Enterprise Rent-A-Car

UTS Tribe member and Enterprise Rent-A-Car Group Rental Manager, Kieran Cregan dropped by recently to hand over a £1,500 cheque towards the work we do with children and young people suffering with serious mental health issues.

Many of the children and young people have learning difficulties, as well as mental health issues around violent or angry behaviour, depression, eating difficulties, low self-esteem, anxiety, obsessions or compulsions, sleep problems, self-harming and the effects of abuse or traumatic events.

So far this year we have worked with over 200 children and young people; including those who attend Wirral CAMHS, Wirral VCH, Joseph Paxton School, West Kirby Residential, Claremount SEN and Foxfield School.

This crucial funding will help pay for the further delivery structured exercise programmes tailored to meet the needs of each child or young person to improve mental health and well being, whilst developing their knowledge around diet and nutrition through workshops and the monitoring of their eating habits.

Thanks again to Kieran, Enterprise Rent-A-Car (https://www.enterprise.co.uk/) and everyone who has helped us this year with our work to help children and young people across the Wirral.
